Want to make quick healthy meals for your family? Join me on this journey! I am a parent to a 4 year and run a custom jewelry business, so time is a valuable resource in my house!
In the past few years, I streamlined my kitchen with all the right tools and kitchen electrics that help me make quick homemade meals and snacks. Ordering out was a an easy way to get meals. However, the pandemic changed a lot of our family’s habits. I have become an efficient mom and chef, through the help of some basic kitchen electrics and utensils. I am so excited to share in the upcoming posts how I have put these items to use daily for my family.
The most used electronic appliance in my kitchen is everyone’s favorite: The Instant Pot.

The Instant Pot is amazing! I use it to cook and reheat leftovers. We got rid of the microwave 2 years ago and have not missed it at all.
To reheat leftovers:
- Simply place the included steaming basket/stand inside the stainless steel pot.
- Add about 3/4 cup of water to the pot.
- Place your food in a heat resistant bowl or container that will fit inside the pot. If I have leftovers in a glass container, I just take the top off and place the container in the pot.
I use the Pressure Cook setting on High and set it for 3 minutes. This gets most leftovers heated thoroughly, from homemade meals to take-out from restaurants.
With the help of the Instant Pot and some other tricks, I now make Thanksgiving dinners in 2 hours!! (post on that in a couple months!)
My Kitchen-Aid stand mixer is another absolute necessity. This helps me make all the desserts we love and more.

With the Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, you can make whipped potatoes, macrons, cakes, banana bread, grind meat, and so much more.
